Design & Technology Technician

Full-time and permanent post

The D&T technician supports Teaching and Learning within the department by coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities and by providing assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the D&T curriculum.

The successful candidate will have proven experience, will demonstrate organisation skills including health and safety awareness and an ability to operate in an English-speaking environment.

Headmaster Nicholas Hammond is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and highly motivated Teacher of Art and Photography to start in September 2024.

The British School of Paris is a non-selective co-educational school which provides British education of a high quality to an international student clientele. 

The successful applicant will be a passionate and talented classroom practitioner who will build upon the considerable success already enjoyed by the Art department. They will teach Art at KS3, KS4 and A Level including A Level Photography.

Office Assistant

From 3rd of June to 5th of July, 

Temporary & full-time post from 9.00am to 4.00pm

The Assistant will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior School office to prepare and organise the Prize Giving ceremony.

He/she might also provide support to the whole school and admissions office at a very busy time of year.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Fluency in English and French (both spoken and written),
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, internet, and databases,
  • Methodical organisation, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise workload,
  • Autonomy, dynamism, flexibility, calm and patience,
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and outside contacts.

A knowledge of the school would be an advantage.

When possible, applicants may nominate one referee among BSP staff.

A recent experience of classroom teaching, preferably in a school following the National Curriculum of England.

Living in Paris area, willing and able to commute to Croissy-sur-Seine at short notice.
