Despite challenging conditions, the Senior School Sports Day went ahead last Friday with a half-day of athletic events, fun sporting activities and House board game competitions. As we were unable to hold the running finals in the afternoon, the finishing times from the morning heats decided overall positions in each event.
As usual, the day saw some impressive performances, with no less than 8 new records being set, following on from the 4 records that had been recorded during the High Jump and Shot Put competitions, which had taken place in lessons leading up to Sports Day.
Despite the heat, the morning was very successful, and we would like to thank all those who helped with the various activities, as well as all the parents who came along to cheer and support the event. The house winners for each year, and the overall winners for the Sports Day will be announced in the final assembly next week.
