The Year 1 children had the opportunity to learn about schools in the past. The boys and girls lined up separately in height order before filing into the classroom in silence. After a nail inspection and a reminder of the school rules, lessons began.
The children enjoyed the experience of writing on slate boards and loved the opportunity to try on the Dunce hat.
They all enjoyed the morning but agreed that they much preferred today’s schools where teachers are less strict and children have more freedom to talk.
