On Tuesday, 48 intrepid members of Year 10 made their way to Paris’s celebrated Père Lachaise cemetery, in order to carry out research for their upcoming Speaking and Listening presentations.

Graves visited included those of famous rock stars, composers, writers, politicians, soldiers, motor racing pioneers, sports stars, actors, ghosts and vampires! Each grave has its own tale to tell, and English teachers are looking forward to hearing some of these stories over the upcoming weeks.

Many thanks to the pupils for their impeccable behaviour and to the staff members who organised and accompanied the trip.

Particular thanks go to Mr P. This was the fifth iteration of a trip that was his excellent idea in the first place.
