As we are coming towards the end of the school year, we would like to say a warm thank you to all parents, students, and staff for supporting the BSP Community Shop and other charity projects throughout 2025-26.
Community Shop
Since September 2025, the Community Shop has raised over 8,000 euros, donated thousands of items, and supported several local charities. Over the course of the year, we have had more than 100 student volunteers, from Year 7 to Year 13, who have helped with sales and sorting through donations. They have learned about the importance of recycling and reducing consumption, and how a circular economy can benefit the wider community. Our Saturday morning shops are now very much local events, with most visitors coming from the Croissy-Chatou area, as well as providing more targeted support to those who need it most. This would not be possible without the continued support of the BSPCA and parent volunteers, who glue all our efforts together by providing refreshments and much-needed organisational support to the Community Shop.
We have, once again, staged some “pop-up” shops at a refugee centre in Achères and at Maison Saint-Charles’ new home in Les Clayes-sous-Bois. All this would not be possible without the generous donations from the BSP community. A special thank you to all the Year 13s who have given up hours of their time while at the BSP. Most of the money raised goes to support the Croissy-Chatou Red Cross, who support local families in need.

- Ukrainian ambulance appeal: 800 euros

United World Schools (UWS)
The second-hand uniform shop has been working overtime once again this year. So far, they have raised 15,000 euros. As a result, we have once again been able to donate 9,000 euros to UWS for the running costs of O Saphy School in Cambodia. In total, since 2017, the BSP community has raised over 160,000 euros, supporting three schools, one of which we built. This has only been possible because of the amazing volunteers who run the second-hand uniform shop and the parents who generously donate.
STAND
STAND is a charity that refurbishes donated prosthetic limbs for use in Sub-Saharan Africa, enabling people with limb loss to access school and work. We have supported this charity for many years. This year, we have committed to raising 20,000 euros to fund a new rehabilitation centre in a rural part of The Gambia. So far, we have raised money at the Jazz Night, the 10km Chatou-St Germain run, and staff events. The BSPCA Summer Fair is also raising money for STAND, as are the second-hand uniform shop and Community Shop. So it is a real joint effort. By the end of the year, we will have raised between 10,000 and 12,000 euros.
