On Tuesday, the Year 6 Debate Club took part in the annual IAPS Year 6 Debate Competition. It is hosted online each year by King’s College Soto and serves as a showcase for the finest debating teams in schools across Europe. The topic of this year’s debate: “Technology is improving human lives”. Our team was assigned to take the stance against this motion, and we argued with poise, enthusiasm and lots of stats.
While the ultimate winners were our hosts, King’s College Soto, the judges took time out of the competition to praise the BSP, particularly I for her exceptional debating skills. In front of all the students and teachers involved, the judges singled her out for her enthusiasm and engagement, saying they could have listened to her talk all day!
