Last Saturday, our Under 14 rugby team played against a touring school side from Bede Academy in the UK. The game was played in glorious spring sunshine at the home ground for the local Rugby Club Montesson, whose hospitality was, as ever, exemplary.
In the early minutes of the match, the tourists started brightly, coming within a few metres of opening the scoring following some powerful running from their skilful winger. This near miss served as a catalyst for the BSP team, who regrouped and were soon at the other end of the pitch scoring the opening try of the match.
As the match progressed, the BSP team increasingly asserted themselves and scored a number of tries without reply from the opposition. Strong performances came in a number of positions, with some fine tries too.
This victory marked the end of an unbeaten season for our youngest rugby team at the BSP. Congratulations to all involved in this fantastic achievement!
