On the weekend before the school broke up for the Spring holidays (27th – 29th March), our four Silver DofE candidates travelled to the beautiful Suisse Normande to complete their Assessed Expedition. They were accompanied by a Gold participant who needed additional training, and a Bronze candidate who was using the trip as their assessed expedition.

The group completed the three-day venture from Condé-en-Normandie with overnight stops in campsites in Clécy and Thury-Harcourt to finish in Mutrécy. Despite some cold mornings, the weather was generally pleasant throughout the weekend. The candidates displayed excellent navigation skills and worked well as a team on their journey as well as when camping.

We now look forward to seeing their presentation on their expedition aim which will seal this aspect of their Award.

Many thanks to Dr L for organising the trip and to Mrs W for acting as the expedition assessor.
