The Year 13 Final Oral EPQ presentations, which mark the end of the EPQ journey for Year 13 students, got off to an excellent start yesterday!
Students presented their topics very eloquently to the full EPQ group composed of 17 students altogether. Our candidates were clearly passionate and knowledgeable about their chosen areas of research.
They answered a range of diverse and challenging questions very convincingly in the follow-up discussions, demonstrating impressive clarity of thought and expression. It was most rewarding to see all students do full justice to their Extended Project which they had been working on for over a year!
We would like to congratulate all our students for these fascinating presentations which, we are sure, will inspire current Year 12 EPQ students to achieve the same standards next academic year.
The topics were as follows:
- Is feminism necessary in the 21st century?
- Does growth cause negative externalities?
- Can Hydrogel “Bioplastic” replace textile in a runway setting?
- Did the cultural changes introduced by European colonisation in Canada have a positive environmental impact?
- Can drug addicts be considered less responsible for their offences than other criminal profiles with underlying psychopathologies?
