The Year 1 children had a fantastic visit to the Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget on Tuesday. The children have been learning this term about changes in transport over time but we were amazed at how brave early pilots must have been to fly in such fragile and delicate machines! We were able to visit two Concorde aircrafts and the children were fascinated by the hundreds of different buttons in the cockpit. The space area was of great interest and the outdoor collection of rockets was fascinating.
The children had a wonderful time in the space-themed play area and really enjoyed the flight simulator and the opportunity to explore how aircraft are powered. It was a pleasure to see their interest and knowledge of what they saw in the museum, and we all had a wonderful day.
