The U18 basketball team faced their toughest opposition so far this season. A very strong ISP team came to visit the BSP on Saturday. We lost the game 34-77, but the team is making huge progress in working together.

Our top scorer was Pablo Martinez Suarez – playing two years below the U18 level – with 11 points. Closely behind him was Abdulrahman Owodunni with 7 points, including an impressive three-pointer to finish the game. Eliott Braun joined the squad for the first time this weekend and it was great to see him score his first points. Nicolas Buberl is starting to make his height count in defence and made some crucial rebounds. Unfortunately Catalin Vancea had to retire injured from the game in the first quarter. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

Many thanks to Emily Burnett, Barbara Damaszk, Madeleine Kangro, Sito Cyril and Farida Said who gave up three hours of their Saturday morning to keep score and operate the electronic scoreboard for both the U14 and U18 games. Farida went on to play a very influential role in the U18 match.

We look forward to hosting EJM next Saturday.
