Say ‘bonjour’ to some of our wonderful pupils who are taking part in the French Ambassadors lunchtime activity!
They have designed their own French Ambassador badges and now wear them proudly around the school. Their mission? To promote the French language and share their enthusiasm for French!
Bravo to our young Ambassadors for spreading their love of the language across the school!
As promised, here are the results of the Year 6 quiz held during the school trip to France Miniature. The scores were very close. There were some impressive second places and one winning team!
The winners were rewarded with a four-colour pen from France Miniature and a tasty treat.
Well done to everyone who took part and did their very best. You all showed great teamwork and enthusiasm!
This week, Year 2 children started designing the settings for the stories they have been studying, including ‘Dans sa maison un grand cerf’. They have been practising retelling the story using well-structured, complete sentences, and they will soon act it out with their characters once everything is ready.
This week, Year 6 children enjoyed a lovely morning stroll along the river to visit Croissy-sur-Seine’s library. They listened to a story in French, explored the books and learnt how the library works. This was a great reminder that there are libraries in every French city where children can borrow books, magazines and DVDs for free after subscribing.
The fun continued at the ‘Les As de la Jungle’ exhibition at Château Chanorier. There, the pupils learned about the rainforest, food chains, interactions, and endangered species. They collected information to answer questions and find a code to free one of the characters.
It was a great morning full of French, curiosity, learning, and fun!
