On Monday, the Year 2 children were given the VIP treatment at the ‘Fondation Louis Vuitton’ in Paris.

Not only did they have their own private tour guide, they also had the entire building to themselves. The children had the opportunity to investigate the different materials that were used to create Frank Gehry’s magnificent building. Their guide Margaux explained that materials such as wood, formica, ductile, metal and glass enabled Frank Gehry to create a building resembling a boat at sea.

With their newly received sketchbooks our buzzing designers and architects were able to gain inspiration from their surroundings.

Their trip was topped off with an exploration of the wondrous Jardin d’Acclimatation where they climbed trees, sailed pretend boats and got lost in a labyrinth.

Everyone had the most wonderful day.
