The U14 boys football team played their first competitive match this week. They played away to Ermitage School on Tuesday afternoon. When the team first laid eyes on the opposition, they were a little intimidated by their size.
However, the BSP’s superior skill level is what made the difference and the boys walked away with an 8-1 victory. We could not have hoped for a better start to the season. This sets us up beautifully for next week’s British School of Netherlands football tournament.
Blake Turner was the only Year 8 student to play on the team and he managed to score two wonderful goals. Our goalie, Francis Xu, had an excellent game making one particularly impressive save.
