This week our Reception class have recognised and celebrated their linguistic diversity with the help of their families. They explored the world map to discover some of their countries of origin or where they have lived before coming to France and tried to guess ‘whose flag?’ in a fun game. They were surprised to have two secret readers this week to share stories in Dutch and Arabic.
The week ended with a sing-along of some well known and not so well known songs in a variety of languages and they even learned some common phrases and words in each other’s home language with the help of some parent visitors.
