On Tuesday 16th September, our Year 12 Biology students led an engaging school assembly on Jeans for Genes, a charity that supports individuals living with genetic conditions.
The presentation highlighted the vital work of the charity and included a fun, interactive display created by one of the pupils, which helped explain the roles of different genes. The students encouraged audience participation, making the topic both informative and enjoyable for everyone.
To further support the cause, students wore jeans today and a bake sale was held at break time. Mr Bates and the charity representatives helped raise an impressive €500+ for Jeans for Genes from the cake sale alone… Thank you to all for your generous donations and to our keen bakers in particular.
Congratulations to the Year 12 students for all their hard work as Jeans for Genes ambassadors this year!
