The Computer Science department is pleased to report that we have the winner of the inaugural Digitus Alacritus competition which was launched last academic year. This is a typing competition open to both students and staff.

After all the participants tried their best to reach the tournament stage, numbers were sifted down from 51 to the top 32 typists in the school.

At the end of the tournament stage, where candidates were pitted against each other, two very strong names emerged to reach the final: a Year 12 pupil and a member of the Languages staff faculty.

The clash of these two typing titans proved most entertaining for the many spectators gathered in the Sixth Form Common Room where it took place.

While both displayed lightning fast typing skills, in the end, much like in the Highlander movies – there can be only one…

The winner and the fastest typist of the BSP Senior School for 2025 – with a very impressive 118 words per minute and 95% accuracy – is our Year 12 pupil! Congratulations!
