Last Thursday we dedicated two hours in the morning to celebrating our pupils’ many achievements this year.
Those pupils who sang, played, read or acted live in front of the rest of the school were particularly impressive and the range of achievements on display was incredible.
Of particular note was the outcome of the Junior Physics Challenge:
Over 50 students from Year 10 were awarded certificates for taking part in the Junior Physics Challenge, an online competition run by the British Physics Olympiad.
This was an exciting opportunity for our young physicists to take part in a national physics competition along with over 13,000 other students. The aim of the competition is to encourage students to engage in physics problems and ideas and show students that the Physics they learn can be applied to examples outside school.
Congratulations to all those who took part, and in particular the eight students who gained gold certificates. We hope that everyone enjoyed the experience and are encouraged to take part in future Physics competitions.
