Last week, Year 2 children had a wonderful morning completing their final DT project: constructing Mouse Caravans with the help of their parents.

It was a morning filled with creativity and fabulous varied ideas about what a mouse truly needs in its home, not to mention a lot of glue!

Truth be told, we think the parents enjoyed themselves as much as their children and it was lovely to watch them chatting together in a variety of languages while bringing their ideas to life. It turns out that mice needs can vary from a DJ deck to dumbbells to Beyblade tables or running wheels.

Thank you wholeheartedly to all the parents who kindly gave up their time!

The Year 2 children also paid a visit to the Senior School Art Gallery and were amazed by the artwork of the older pupils.

“Incredible! Amazing! Fantastic!” were just some of the words we overheard as the children moved around the displays.
