Year 5 received a second letter from their French pen pals, thanking them for inviting them to the Year 5 and Year 6 play.
Even more excitingly, the children had the privilege of spending an afternoon together!
Some pupils visited the Jules Verne School, where they chatted with their pen pals in French and made paper fortune tellers. Meanwhile, others welcomed their pen pals at the BSP, where they built Lego creations and played with Spheros in mazes designed by Year 5 pupils, both inside the school and in the corridors. Everyone had a wonderful time!
The children in Nursery, Reception and Years 1 to 3 were treated to a special French show on Wednesday called “Même pas peur… ou presque!” First, in class, the children learned the key vocabulary, sang some of the songs and talked about what scares them.
Then came the big day: an exciting performance full of fun, music and dancing! According to the children, it was not really that scary after all!
