In this week’s assembly, we celebrated the achievements of 130 pupils from Years 9 to 13 who participated in the UKMT Maths Challenge competitions this year.
The Maths Challenge is a series of stimulating mathematical problems to be completed against the clock. The questions are unseen and are designed to stretch and challenge the most able mathematicians in each year group. The Senior Challenge took place in the Autumn Term and involved 59 of our A level mathematicians, while the Intermediate Challenge was completed by 71 pupils from Years 9, 10 and 11.
All participants received a certificate of participation, and the highest scorers were awarded a prestigious Bronze, Silver or Gold prize by their Head of Year in assembly.
Particular congratulations to our Gold winners this year, of which there were 10 in total.
