The Somme and Ypres still bear the scars of the deadly Great War: trenches, mine craters and military cemeteries remind us of the painful events that took place there over 100 years ago.
The British School of Paris took its annual Year 9 trip to the battlefields to enable pupils to see first hand the terrain that so many paid the ultimate sacrifice for.
Our Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to connect the dots and link their work inside the classroom to what they were seeing at the Somme and Ypres.
A huge thank you to Mrs Marie for all the help organising the trip, to our ‘resident expert’ Mr Hammond and all the accompanying teachers who enabled this trip to happen.
