Yesterday, the EYFS and KS1 corridors were filled with all sorts of characters as everyone in Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year Two dressed up for our ‘Storytelling and Drama Day’ – plenty of storybook characters could be seen such as aliens, princesses, animals and superheroes as well as many, many more.

Everyone was excited about going to the drama studio at the Senior School and we were amazed by the talents of the Little Match Girl (Ms Burns) and her Senior School helpers as they re-enacted the tale of ‘The Elves and The Shoemaker’ for Nursery and Reception. The children were very excited as they shouted loudly when they saw the elves who kept hiding from them and enjoyed singing a song before giving shiny gold coins to the elves.

Years 1 and 2 had a wonderful time with the story of ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. They were entranced by the re-enactment of the story and listened carefully to instructions given by Goldilocks so they could creep up to take the porridge bowls without the bears seeing them. They also enjoyed singing a song and performing the actions.

Everyone loved the trip to the drama studio and we say a big thank you to Ms Burns as well as her students.
