The BSP cross-country team travelled to Brussels to compete in a major cross-country competition. In all, 11 international schools fielded teams at the event which took place in the beautiful Park van Tervuren. An undulating course with challenging terrain provided perfect conditions for our cross-country athletes.

First to the start line were the U12 boys and girls competing against strong opposition in the 3km event. Stand out performances were Aiden (Yr7) who finished in an impressive 4th place with a time of 13 minutes. He was closely followed by Sam who finished strongly in 5th place.

Our junior girls also ran exceptional times and placed well in their age group. Well done to Isabel, Andrea and Zofia.

The senior teams faced tough opposition and an arduous 5km course. There were gritty performances from all BSP athletes, and deservedly they received huge encouragement around the course.

It was a fantastic first race of the season for our athletes who are now training hard for the ISAA Championships in Athens. Well done to all runners.
