On Friday 27th September, 85 of our 6th Form pupils attended the Global University Fair at Ermitage International School. Students were able to chat to representatives from universities ranging from Canada and the US to continental Europe (including Polytechnique, Sciences Po and EDHEC); as well as Spanish, German and Scandinavian institutions. UK universities included Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Warwick, King’s and many other top institutions offering all manner of Bachelor degrees and programmes.
Accompanying the students were members of the current Year 13 adviser team including: Mr Chorley, Mr King, Mr Guinet, Mrs Magee as well as Mrs Roberts, our exams officer, key to the whole application process.
A huge thank you to Mrs Anderson, our new Head of Futures, who organised the excursion for our students, further reinforcing the message at the heart of our approach here in the 6th Form: the more experience and knowledge our young people have, the more equipped they will be to make better informed decisions regarding the next step in their academic or professional journey.
The evening was a great success with our young adults relishing the opportunity to look ahead, and discover for themselves the vast array of possibilities that lie before them.
