Year 5 children have been busy this week working on their pictures for the 70th anniversary celebration of the school. Each class in the school has chosen a Paris monument to draw or paint in the style of a different artist or artistic movement for this special celebration. In Year 5, we have chosen the Arc de Triomphe in the style of Robert Delaunay, the Sacré Cœur in the style of David Gentleman and the Château de Monte Cristo in the style of Tommy Kane.

After studying the style of these artists and completing preliminary sketches, we are now working on the final pieces using multimedia. One picture from each class will be chosen to be framed in a whole school display, whilst all of the children’s work will be on display in their classrooms. The children are very proud of what they have accomplished and are excited to see the finished work!
