On Wednesday, Year 8 went to explore Etretat on the Normandy coast. The purpose of their visit was to find out how physical and human processes have helped to shape Etretat, as part of their unit on Coasts. They used a variety of fieldwork skills from carrying out beach profiles, completing field sketches and measuring footpath erosion to completing an Environmental Quality Survey. Overall, the students had a very productive day and were even able to enjoy a well earned ice-cream after all their hard work.
