On Monday, Year 2 children went on a trip to the forest of Marly. Soon we were very deep in the forest and we were spotting things like nettles, cleavers, ash trees, sweet chestnuts, dandelions, oak saplings, slugs and so much more. First, we went up a hill as high as a mountain, when we were at the top we had a marvelous picnic. After that we were looking for bugs, we discovered five different micro-habitats. We searched under logs and leaves to discover woodlice, millipedes, worms, beetles and spiders. We also made two shelters for the minibeast and found sticks that we could use as walking sticks.

It was great fun eating our lunch outside before lying down and staring up at the trees above us.
