On Wednesday 24th April, the Senior School embarked on a new and exciting sporting opportunity with 16 students being invited to the regional club and schools beach volleyball competition in St. Germain.
Having trained at Croissy’s new indoor beach volleyball hall during last term, the teams were well prepared to meet the challenges. The students were split into male/female teams of 4 to compete throughout the afternoon.
The boys’ A team did exceptionally well and were only knocked out in the semi-finals by an adult club side. The boys’ B team consisting of some of our younger pupils found the afternoon more challenging and lost in the round of 16.
However, the afternoon belonged to the women with the girls’ A and B teams finishing 3rd and 4th respectively, narrowly losing to the opposition in the semi-finals.
This is an outstanding set of results for this new sport in the school’s co-curricular programme and we look forward to more matches in the future.
