This year our Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards programme honours three Gold award recipients. All three recipients were invited, along with their parents, to attend the Gold Award ceremony at the British Ambassador’s Residence this Tuesday to receive their certificates from our Patron, the British Ambassador, Dame Menna Rawlings. Afterwards, the Ambassador spoke to individual participants and a lovely tea was served.
Over the years these pupils completed and logged almost 850 hours of Physical Recreation, Skills, and Voluntary Service. They also hiked a combined 730 km and completed a Gold Residential, which requires participants to broaden their experience with a shared purposeful activity, with people who are not their usual colleagues or friends and in an unfamiliar residential setting for at least five days.
We congratulate them all on this tremendous achievement.
