London Drama Trip
On 23rd November an excited group of GCSE and A-Level Drama students set off for London. As part of both academic courses there is a requirement to write about a live performance in the exam. The students watched a modern performance called ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane,’ and the contrasting glitzy musical ‘Frozen’ so they could have a choice for the evaluation in the exam.
As part of the trip the students also took part in two workshops. After a tour of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the pupils attended an acting workshop with a professional Shakespearean actor. Earlier in the day there had been a dance class at the famous Pineapple Dance Studios where the students worked with a cast member of Frozen and learned one of the dances from the show.
