Egyptian Day in Year 3
Year 3 celebrated the end of their ‘Ancient Egypt’ topic with an exciting travel back in time many thousands of years, to explore this fascinating civilisation. We spent the day learning an Egyptian song, crawling through the tomb of King Tutankhamun by torchlight and cataloguing our finds, preparing a body for and completing a mummification with amulets to protect their journey to the afterlife, cracking a hieroglyphic code and enjoying a scrumptious Egyptian feast.
Thank you to all of the Year 3 parents for their time and generosity in providing the Egyptian food and helping the children make their amazing costumes; we all had a wonderful day!
