Year 10, 11 & 12 Geography trip to Cergy-Pontoise
For their Human Geography fieldwork, the Year 10 Geographers and new Year 11 and 12 Geographers explored 5 different sites in the new town of Cergy-Pontoise. These included high, middle and low-income areas. Our students were aiming to find out to what extent urban planners have created a variety of environments and housing to minimise inequality. At each site they carried out several methods from Residential Quality Surveys to an Environmental Quality Index. They are now busy analysing the data they collected and writing up their reports on the key findings. This will be an essential revision tool for their exams next year.
