Year 1 Trip to la Bergerie Nationale
On Tuesday, Year 1 children visited La Bergerie Nationale in Rambouillet. It was so exciting to go on our first school trip together!
Equipped with wellies and raincoats for the rainy start, we began our visit. We loved seeing all the animals: particularly learning about the sheep and their special merino wool, understanding why their horns were warm (blood circulates through them) and feeding them with hay. We enjoyed making bread soup for the chickens – yum! The sun came out after our picnic lunch and we were able to stroke and play with goats in their pen and hunt for minibeasts in a labyrinth. Luckily, we all found our way out!
“I learned that the cleanest animal on the farm is the pig.” Ellie (1T).
“I loved the goats.” Charlotte (1T).
