Sports Day 2023
Last Friday the Senior School Sports Day took place at the Stade des Merlettes in Le Vésinet. The whole Senior School enjoyed a day’s worth of running, jumping and throwing. The heats of the running events took place in the morning as well as the finals of the field events, a straight final for the 1500 metre race, and a chess/board game side competition. After enjoying a barbeque lunch it was finals all the way, with pupils vying for podium places and house points. There were many close-fought races, exciting finishes and a new school record in the Year 10 girls’ shot put event.
There was great participation from everyone and a number of notable performances, particularly from pupils who won multiple events. It was our youngest age group, Year 7, who produced the most successful performances of the day with Sebastian winning 6 events and our overall champion Maria, winning a staggering 7 titles. Well done Maria!
