Year 8 Trip to Etretat
On Tuesday 23rd May, Year 8, as part of their unit on Coasts, went to explore Étretat on the Normandy coast to find out how physical and human processes have helped to shape Étretat.
They used a variety of fieldwork skills from carrying out beach profiles, completing field sketches and measuring footpath erosion to completing an Environmental Quality Survey. Fortunately, the sea gulls were not quite so greedy this year and only one person lost a sandwich.
Overall, the students had a very productive day and were even able to enjoy a well earnt ice-cream after all their hard work.
