Year 3 Mosaic Workshop
This week, Year 3 children visited the mosaic atelier in Croissy for an exciting day of mosaic-making. In consolidation of our own work on the Roman Empire in history and mosaic design in DT, we learned more about the variety, preparation and conservation of mosaics across the centuries and we looked at many of the tools and concepts involved in their creation. The children then went on to make individual sections of a whole class mosaic; the final results are stunning!
