Year 5 Trip to Fontainebleau
Year 5 children had a fantastic trip to the Château de Fontainebleau as part of our History topic on François Ier and the Renaissance. We learned how François developed the castle on the site of a medieval fortress, and admired the paintings by Renaissance artists in the long gallery that he built. We also toured the grounds looking for animals which were used as Renaissance symbols and enjoyed a ride on Le Petit Train.
