Year 5 and Year 6 Accrobranche Trip
Last week Year 5 and Year 6 went to Accrobranche and had a wonderful time!
As we could not all go up the trees at the same time, the Year 5 children went in the morning and the Year 6 children went in the afternoon.
Once they collected their packed lunches, the Year 5 children got on the bus that took them to the site. Meanwhile, the Year 6 children stayed in their classes doing hard work before going on the trip.
When they arrived at the site they were first divided into groups A and B. After that, the staff helped them put on the harnesses and they watched a safety film. When they were ready to go up the trees they did a ‘try out route’ before starting the real adventure. After the Year 5 children had their time in the trees they sat down and ate lunch while the Year 6 arrived and joined them for lunch and a chat. After lunch the Year 5 children went back to school and we got separated into groups A and B.
As we were heading back to school we were ecstatic because we had such an unbelievable day! It was extra fun because we all worked as a team. Everybody was helpful and did not pressure other people who were scared. Lots of people were very brave and worked hard to overcome their fears.
Thank you to all of the teachers for the terrific trip!
