Congratulations to our Year 13 students on an outstanding set of A Level results.

The wait for results can be an anxious time and this year with the re-introduction of exams possibly more so than ever.  For many this was the first time that they had taken public exams and they have met the challenge with distinction.

This year our A* achievement rate was 22% (up from 16% last year), the A*/A rate 45% and 75% of results were in the A*-B range.  This demonstrates that our students learn best when they have access to the high-quality in-person teaching provided at the BSP.

90% of first-choice options were achieved in what has been one of the most competitive entry years ever.  This is also our most international set of destinations with students going to study in a wide range of locations demonstrating, once again, the transferability of A level as a university qualification. What follows is a sample of destinations and courses:

To study a wide variety of subjects including:

Architecture

Astro-Physics and Maths

International Business

Dentistry

Engineering

International relations

Modern Foreign languages

Next year BSP students will study at:

University of Oxford

University of San Diego

ESSEC – Grande Ecole de Commerce, France

The London School of Economics

University of Groningen, Netherlands

Imperial College London

University of Edinburgh

and beyond…

Head of Senior School Ms Alice Brooking said:

“As the first cohort of pupils formally sitting public exams since 2019, this year’s BSP school leavers have done fantastically well!  Many congratulations to all of our 2022 A Level candidates, especially after such an unusual and challenging time of study during the COVID pandemic.  We wish them all the very best as they look forward to furthering their education at university level in various countries around the world.  Well done to them!”

Headmaster of The British School of Paris, Mr. Nicholas Hammond said:

“Success in public examinations is but one measure of a successful school career.  Our Year 13s deserve praise not only for this wonderful set of results but also for all that they have given to the school community both in and out of the classroom.  They have been an excellent group of senior students.  Their academic success is borne from their dedication and commitment to their studies, and we have every confidence that they will go out into the world and make a positive impact.  We are delighted that they have chosen to continue their studies across the globe, this independence of mind will serve them well.

We wish them every success in the future and look forward to hearing of their success.”
