Jazz & Dance Night
Last Friday, our Junior School hall gradually transformed into a concert venue… Someone took care of the lights, someone else dressed the tables, a bar popped up in a corner, bands rehearsed their performances and by late afternoon, everyone was ready to welcome our reunited community back to school.
The audience was treated to five hours of excellent live music performed by the Junior and Senior School Jazz Bands, and the Beatseekers, a band made up of school parents and friends – all coordinated by Simon Lockwood, Head of Music at the Junior School.
Everybody danced and had a good time…
By midnight, the music stopped and the dance floor became a school hall again. Lights were turned off but not the joy of being together again, supporting each other, chatting, dancing and meeting new people.
