Painting orangutans in Year 4
4H children took part in a virtual painting session with the artist John Dyer, who is part of the ‘Born Free Organisation’. Not only did the children get useful painting advice from a professional artist but they were also able to learn about the orangutans of Borneo. During the painting session there was a live chat and the children were thrilled to have their questions answered!
Andrea asked: ‘Do orangutans have many predators?’ and other children wanted to know ‘How friendly are orangutans?’
Once the class had finished they tried recreating the same picture on their iPad using Brushes. Mrs Carralon was very impressed with the outcome of their work!
