First EVER BSP basketball victory

The BSP Lions started the weekend with a 27-25 win against Ecole Jeannine Manuel on Saturday 26th March – our first ever BSP basketball team victory!

It was a tough match with 8 Lions against a large 11- player squad. Despite a wobbly, nervous first quarter, the Lions pulled it back, each player earning plenty of game time. Everyone played fantastically well and we made our old Head Coach, Mr Owen, proud. Whilst he didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate with us, we look forward to continuing basketball into the summer term and squeezing in some other fixtures.
The player of the match goes to Raphael who was our top scorer but also showed strength on offence and making game changing interceptions on defence. Combining his defensive skills and quick passing up the court, Lonan scored the winning basket on the buzzer.
