Year 3 Trip to Interaterre

Class 3H visited Interaterre, an Ecological Community gardening project in Achères. 

Here are some of the things the children said about their day out:

“I loved using our energy to push the wheelbarrow full of compost.” – Kaitlyn

“The smells of mint, thyme and lavender were lovely.” – Gregory

“The taste of the honey was very delicious.” – Sophie

“I liked the sheep wool because it was soft.” – Ellie

“I think that planting was the best but I was surprised that more bees were in one bee hive than people in Croissy.” – Charlie

“It was fun looking around the forest learning about plants. We spotted bird nests and bird boxes. We heard and spotted lots of birds. We saw bees and tasted honey. We gave some apple cores to make compost.” – Lara

“I enjoyed the time we planted the seeds, especially when we dug the soil and then covered over the seeds.” – Yeji

“I loved digging and I saw lots of worms.” – Emma

“I liked putting the compost in the wheelbarrow.” – Bhuvi
