Year 10 Business Enterprise Grand Final

The final pitted our two heat winners head to head in front of a live audience consisting of their year group, Mrs Tomlinson, the selected pupil judges and their teachers. The scenario was to spot a gap in the market for a new food outlet in the Croissy area and pitch the idea to investors.

Both teams got their points across very effectively, especially with just five minutes presentation time allocated. Equally both teams handled the audience questions with aplomb – so who won?

Eventually the ‘Javan Rhino’ team won (see picture). This restaurant offering authentic Indonesian dishes to all ages was declared the overall winner. The pupils’ detailed business plan and professional presentational style impressed the judges who commented  favourably on their attention to detail.

Congratulations to our runners up with their ‘Kebab Cafe’ project. This was well received by their peers and they ran the girls very close.

All our pupils put a great deal of time and effort into the competition and it was wonderful to see them apply theory taught in lessons to real life scenarios.
