Remembrance Day commemoration at the British Embassy

I had the pleasure of accompanying Head Boy, Nicholas Lo to the British Embassy to take part in their Remembrance Day ceremony this week. We listened to prestigious servicemen and women talking about what Remembrance means to them, after which Nicholas played The Last Post on the stairs of the hallway, which resonated beautifully across the room. A fantastic performance which was hugely appreciated by the officials and the Ambassador.

This is Nicholas’ fourth and last year taking part in the ceremony. To mark this and to say thank you for his efforts, he was awarded a British Forces coin by a senior member of the Embassy staff, a prestigious coin awarded to people who have offered their services in some way to the Embassy. This was presented in the usual manner of a handshake where the coin gets passed between the two. A lovely and fitting end to the time and effort dedicated by Nicholas to the embassy these past few years.

Well done Nicholas!
