COP26 – Artist visit/mural creation
This kind of opportunity does not come along too often so the chance for our pupils to work with artist Stéphane Bausch on a mural highlighting climate change was too good to miss…
Stéphane created the mural last weekend, working in our Outdoor Performance Space, then returned to School on Monday to collaborate with pupils and staff. Throughout the day pupils and staff dropped by to add their contribution to the finished work by writing their feelings about climate change in a word or short phrase directly onto the canvas.
The final phase of the project was to deliver the mural to the British Embassy to be signed by invited CEOs and the Ambassador herself as a reminder of the importance of their role in rectifying the damage already done to our environment.
Invited BSP pupils helped out at the Embassy event culminating in framing pieces of the canvas to be distributed to the invited guests.
Thank you to KPMG for funding this project, to our Patron HM Ambassador to France, Mrs Menna Rawlings and to the wonderful Stéphane Bausch for his vision and creativity.
We are looking forward to displaying our own framed sections at both schools very soon.
