Newspaper Day in Year 6

For one whole day, Year 6 became journalists and worked very hard on creating their newspapers. The computer room was transformed into the newspaper editing suite. The Year 6 pupils wrote their factual articles and used the Outlook app on the iPads to send their work. The pupils had a blast. They interviewed Mr Hammond, Mr Potter and Ms Serafini, to name a few, to find out about their lives. They loved taking on the role of newspaper journalists. Even an escaped tiger who trashed one of the classrooms made our news headlines!

“I enjoyed using the email app to send my work to the sub-editors.” – Alexander

“I very much liked being in the role of a real life journalist.” – Agniia

“We were under a lot of pressure in the computer suite to get the newspapers ready in time.” – Stefania

Well done for your hard work, Year 6!

Miss Paris Times (Miss Wassell) and Miss Honey (Mrs Richards) were very proud of your outcomes.
