Year 2 Trip to Ferme de Gally

Year 2 visited the Ferme de Gally this week. We had a lovely time as you will hear in these wonderful accounts of the afternoon:

“First, we ate lunch on a picnic table. We had crisps, a sandwich, two biscuits and an apple. Then we learned how to make recycled paper. Wasps can also make paper. The secret of paper was found in Japan!

We ripped old newspapers. After that, we mixed the old newspaper and water together, made a grey mixture and poured it into a grey crate. We dipped a tray in the mixture, then we shook the tray and covered it with a cloth. Next, we patted it and that is how you make paper.”

“First, we met the chicken that had feet like a dinosaur. Next, we stroked the rabbit. After that, we saw the pigs that were super clean. Soon after, we were stroking the smooth goats. Later, we stroked the sheep and I thought the mummy one was the fluffiest one. Finally, we went to the bus and went to school.”
