Hello Yellow
Sunday 10th October marks World Mental Health Day and provides a pertinent reminder to all of us in the BSP community that we need to be aware both of our own mental health and that of the people around us. We are coming out of a global pandemic which has had a huge impact on how we function both socially and emotionally. There has been a vast rise in mental health concerns in the UK and this is mirrored to some extent in our school community. Anxiety, stress, depression and disrupted sleep are just some of the factors we have seen a rise in recently.
For this reason we celebrated “Hello Yellow”, an initiative from a UK based charity, Young Minds. The focus of the day was to raise awareness and to remind our students that they are not alone in dealing with a stressful environment.
Please also remember that the school has extensive Pastoral Care and Welfare set-ups to support our students in school or to direct you to more advanced support outside of school. Please do not hesitate in contacting the school should you need support for your child.
